Recent projects include the prestigious Spinnaker tower in Portsmouth where ML (UK) Dredging were one of the first contractors on-site and dredged the area flat for the piling work to proceed.

We were heavily involved with the base pile and butt welding and, as the tower grew, we designed and fabricated platforms and stairways. Finally, we were asked to prepare fabrication designs and to build and install the 27 metre spire section with an internal access system: the spire was built in three sections, the top section made from stainless steel.

The sections were put together on-site and cladded, then the 18 tonne spire was lifted 557 feet (170 metres) by the second tallest crane in Europe and bolted into position.

We also manufacture fire escapes and all types of structural steel beams to any design.
